Prenatal Services

Shakti Prenatal Yoga was founded by Bobby Bessey with the goal of empowering mothers to create positive, powerful, and joyful birth, and postnatal experiences. In addition to almost two decades of teaching prenatal and postnatal yoga, Bobby is a birth doula, Hypnobirthing instructor, and mother of two. For more than a decade she has been passionately supporting mothers during their pregnancies, and early motherhood experiences with a variety of yogic techniques and approaches.

Prenatal Yoga

Shakti Prenatal Yoga Classes carefully incorporate asana movements that enhance comfort during pregnancy, and prepare for easier, more enjoyable births. The addition of birth education topics, breathing techniques, and guided meditations compliment yoga asana, and enhance the overall effectiveness of this program. Prenatal Couples Yoga

Bring Dad, Mom, Nana, or Close friend to you and your growing baby to this lighthearted prenatal couples class. Choose someone you are comfortable touching and being in close proximity with. This class is suitable for all experience levels and body types. Mom & Baby Yoga

A class for Moms and parents to spend time with their new baby while reconnecting with self. Classes gently strengthen, tone and calm the postpartum body and mind. Each class strengthens and opens areas that need attention postnatally. Short pose series are also taught so moms can incorporate yoga movements into five minute practices throughout their busy new-mommy days. This class is a supportive environment to exchange experiences with new moms and introduce your baby to new friends.

Private Sessions

Private yoga sessions are an opportunity to participate in a yoga class that is tailored to fit your needs. If you have a specific condition or goal that you would like to work on, questions about your regular practice that you would like to clarify, or if you would like to get an overview of the basic poses before joining a regular class then this might be an option for you.
